What to do if you own this product
What is the hazard with Light-Up Glasses, Crown Headbands, Sparkle Headbands and Ties?
Light-Up Glasses, Crown Headbands, Sparkle Headbands and Ties was announced in the last month, in the "Other Toys" category. The recalled children’s toys violate the mandatory standard for toys because they contain button cell batteries and the compartments that hold the batteries can be easily accessed by children, posing a deadly ingestion hazard to children. When button cell and coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death. This falls under one of the more serious hazard categories (injury, choking or strangulation risk), so the recall covers every unit sold, not only units with a reported incident.
