What is the hazard with Can-Am Outlander Pro and Max Pro All-Terrain Vehicles?

Can-Am Outlander Pro and Max Pro All-Terrain Vehicles was announced earlier this year, in the "Other" category. The ATV's speed limiter control can malfunction, causing unexpected speed and acceleration, posing a serious risk of injury or death from crash hazard. This falls under one of the more serious hazard categories (injury, choking or strangulation risk), so the recall covers every unit sold, not only units with a reported incident.
