What is the hazard with Metal Wire Bristle Grill Brushes?

Small metal wire bristles can detach from the brushes and stick to the grill or food, posing an ingestion hazard and risk of serious internal injuries that could require surgery. That is the hazard as reported publicly by the firm and the regulator; it does not necessarily mean every unit has failed.
