What is the hazard with Zippee Activity Toys?

Zippee Activity Toys was announced earlier this year, in the "Other" category. The recalled silicone activity toys contain spherical ends that can reach the back of the throat, posing a serious choking hazard to children. This falls under one of the more serious hazard categories (injury, choking or strangulation risk), so the recall covers every unit sold, not only units with a reported incident.

What should you do if you own this product?

Consumers should stop using the recalled toy immediately, take it away from children and contact Mobi Games to receive a full refund. Consumers will be asked to register their product online by first confirming they have an affected version with spherical ends on the strings and then by providing a photo of the destroyed toy. Consumers will be directed to destroy the toy by cutting the spherical ends off the silicone strings and writing their initials and date on the teal cylinder. Sold at: Amazon.com and PlayMobi.com and other online platforms and in specialty toy stores from November 2019 through January 2024 for about $20.. If you bought it somewhere else, the remedy above still applies — contact the firm directly using the official recall page linked below.

How many units are affected?

About About 117,500 (In addition, about 25,786 were sold in Canada) units of Zippee Activity Toys are covered by this recall, according to the official count reported by the firm to the regulator.
